Objective: 

This Course will enable the students to develop all aspects of the human personality through physical and sports activities, learn how to game and maintain physical fitness, knowledge about rules and regulation regarding to games and sports.

Approach in teaching:

Demonstration, Explanation. Field Practical. Audio-Visual                               aids, Rules and regulation of the game.

Field activities, Task of observation Study, Presentation, and Competition exercise.

class test, Semester end examinations, Quiz, fundamental skill test, Assignments, Individual and group projects, Competition, Demonstrate the Correct Position of the game

Physical Fitness Training

Athletics

Track events –

  • 4x100 meters relay and 4x400 meters relay.
  • Marking of Athletic track in file.

Throw Events –

Shot-Put

  • Introduction of event and brief history
  • skills and techniques of the game
  • IAAF rules and regulations
  • Specification of Equipment’s
  • Teaching stages of the event
  • Marking of shot put arena

Game – Basketball / Handball (Candidate may choose any one Game):
  • History of the Game
  • Measurement of the playfield
  • Equipment’s required for the Game
  • Fundamental skills and technique
  • Officiating and Rules and regulations of the Game
  • Preparation and filling of score sheet.

  • Team / Individual records (Olympic, World, Asian and National Level) of the Game
